After all the recent grieving over the previously detested Brad Bellick, this moment helps to reinforce the developing bond between the testosterone-fuelled fugitives. ![]() "We're settled," mutters the Beefcake to the man who shot dead his father. Lincoln Burrows's decision to bury the hatchet with the serially underused Mahone is rather touching and understated. Leon Russom's compelling portrayal as the so-called Pad Man deserves many plaudits. His sly bargaining attempts also ramp up the tension as he offers individual treats to certain members of Scofield's mob. Isn't he supposed to be dying though? There's been plenty of fan speculation about the involvement of Scofield's parents in Company affairs, and The General expertly teases out their possible past involvement. The fast-paced opening to the episode was admirably crowdpleasing, with Scofield outwitting The General and unleashing one of his trademark smirks. Much kudos to Michael Rappaport for building up a character that appeared to be amiable, yet capable of turning dark suddenly without seeming a betrayal of his true Self. It's been a while since there was a major twist on the show, and the revelation about Self's nature was genuinely jaw-dropping. A fine Prison Break episode clinically draws a line under the whole Scylla pursuit escapade and gears it towards something far more compelling - the hunt for the treacherous Don Self. ![]()
